Gold, limited edition The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL bundle releasing in Europe next month ⊟
This releases on November 22 for £199.99 ($319), and comes with a downloadable copy of the game. Retail copies of the game in Europe, by the way, has a reversible cover with the all-gold/U.S. art and a full-color version.
If this isn’t enough proof (along with the Fire Emblem 3DS XL bundle and the Chotto Mario handhelds) that Europe is winning the special edition systems war as far as Western territories go, Nintendo also intends to release the amazing Year of Luigi 3DS XL there on November 1 for £179.99 ($287).
I’m 98 percent sure Nintendo will bring the Zelda 3DS XL at least to the U.S. around Black Friday, just like it did with the Zelda 3DSes and DS Lites.
Holy butts! The Legend of Zelda 3DS
It’s not a remake for a Link to the Past — it’s a new game set in the SNES classic’s world, releasing this holiday season! It will feature new dungeons and an original storyline.
The new title looks to “”reinvigorate the flat 2D world of A Link to the Past with a sense of height and volume,” making it easier to differentiate levels and adding a new puzzle-solving mechanic. Link can also now become a drawing and move within walls, changing the game’s perspective and allowing you to see previously hidden connections to solve puzzles.
Watch the reveal and trailer past the break:
i bought a master sword stylus off of shapeways :3

So this just arrived in the post. Quite excited :D
Waited in line at my local GameStop for about almost 2 hours! I think I was one of the first ones out of the store with one of these babies!

Trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition, releasing on DSiWare for free on September 28! (well, free until February 28 of next year).
It turns out this isn’t just a port of the four-player game that was included in the GBA release for A Link to the Past. Grezzo, which worked on the Ocarina of Time 3D remake, has added new content, including a single-player option — a second Link accompanies your character, and you can switch between the two by hitting L/R.
And you’ll notice in the trailer (01:43) there are new areas based on the original Zelda NES game, Link’s Awakening for Game Boy, and A Link to the Past for SNES:
“There are 2 exclusive new areas to play - each containing 3 new levels to complete - which have been specifically made for this edition of the game. By completing the new areas, you’ll be able to unlock additional special skills. Fans of the franchise will be familiar with the Master Sword and Hurricane Spin, and both return to help you on your quest.
Mastering the challenging new area ‘Hero’s Trial’, which contains elements from other levels as well as 3 new maps, will allow you to unlock the Hurricane Spin, whilst tackling the new area ‘Realm of Memories’ - made up of famous locations from The Legend of Zelda series - unlocks the Master Sword.
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition also includes new control options, including “whistle” functionality on the X Button, allowing players to call for attention, alert each other of their location on the map, as well as making use of the lower screen to show your inventory and place on the map.”
I can’t believe this is all for free!

Artist Eric Maruscak creates a chalk mural at the 2011 San Diego Comic Con for the 25th Anniversary of Zelda with this “The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D” artwork for Nintendo. The mural measured 9 feet tall by 12 feet wide and took almost 33 hours to complete over the four days of the show. As many may already know, there has been a petition campaigning to get Majora’s Mask released for the 3DS, in fact, it has been highly demanded since the remake of Ocarina of Time. If Ocarina of Time’s sales continue to be successful, maybe fans will get their wish if they speak out enough about wanting the sequel to have its own release as well. Head on over to ZeldaUniverse for more details and check out the petition currently going on. Spread the word if this is something you’d like to see happen.
I love my nintendo 3DS cover :) It’s amazing. <3
